Abbotsford Board of Education Trustees Receive Recognition

At the recent British Columbia School Trustees Association Annual General Meeting, several of Abbotsford’s long-serving trustees were recognized for their dedicated service to public education.

Vice Chair Shirley Wilson received a Lifetime Achievement recognition, honouring her longstanding commitment and leadership in support of student success.

Trustee Preet Rai was recognized for 16 years of service, and Board Chair Stan Petersen for 12 years, reflecting their continued dedication to students, staff, and the broader Abbotsford community.

The recognition reflects not only years of service, but the vital role trustees play in shaping programs, supporting students, and guiding decisions that impact classrooms across the Abbotsford School District.
